Positive And Negative Aspect Of Social Networking - 835 Words

Social networking is the latest online fashion for the past few years. Social networking sites are used in a manner to keep in contact with new and old friends or co-workers. These sites can also provide career opportunities for professional in various fields. Social networking could be advantageous for career development, but there are also disadvantages to think of. In this paper I would be discussing some of the positive and negative aspect of social networking related to career development with some examples. Social networking provides a lot of benefits towards career development. One of the biggest advantages of using social media is for a job search, which gives candidate leads that they would not have known otherwise. Social media sites are good, especially toward professional networking, for simple reasons, it provides the best career leads for professional. Moreover, if a job candidate follows company pages and accounts on other social media network, the candidate might come across a job posting that is a perfect fit (Brad Schepp, 2012). LinkedIn is one of the white-collar sites which give people the opportunity to meet business people who are known to their contacts.
